About Hydra Group

A software practice for companies that have outgrown generic tools.

Hydra Group designs and builds custom business software. The work is proprietary applications — CRM, ecommerce, client portals, and web applications — engineered around a specific workflow. It is not a WordPress agency, not a Shopify shop, and not a template studio.

The commercial model is straightforward. Phase one is the project: you pay to have the software designed and built. Phase two is optional: a monthly maintenance and development plan so hosting, security, support, and continued improvement have an owner.

Studio

How we work with companies — and what we refuse to pretend.

01

What we take on

Projects starting in the low thousands and scaling to larger custom systems. The buyer is a business that feels the cost of misfit software — not someone shopping for a $500 website.

02

What we will not pretend to be

A cheap outsourcing bench, a plugin vendor, or a team that will implement a hosted storefront you could launch with a theme. If that is the job, you need a different kind of supplier.

03

How identity works today

The legal entity, domain, and visual identity are still being finalised. This site is structured so those details can be inserted without rebuilding the architecture. Until then, the public name is the placeholder you see in the header.

Process

A straight path to software that you can really use.

01

Discover

We map the workflow, the systems you already use, and the outcome the first release must deliver.

02

Design

Data model, permissions, and interface — designed around how the team actually works.

03

Build

The application is engineered from scratch. No plugin stack. No generic workflows bolted on.

04

Launch

We ship a version the business can operate, with training on the admin and day-to-day use.

05

Maintain

Hosting, security, support, and ongoing development stay available so the software can evolve.

Security and operational care

Custom software that holds customer or commercial data needs authentication, roles, backups, and a patching cadence. That is why software maintenance is offered as a named service rather than an afterthought. We do not publish fabricated uptime percentages or unnamed enterprise clients.

Source-code ownership and licence terms are written into the client agreement. The public line is the operating intent: built from scratch, for your business, with us available to maintain it.

Tell us what the software needs to do.

Share the workflow, the current tools, and the outcome you need. We will come back with a scoped project estimate — not a generic package.
